Known for her compelling presence as an instructor, leader, and presenter, Annique inspires audiences and students worldwide with her expertise in internationalization, transformational and servant leadership, partnership engagement, and intercultural communication. Dr. Petit has served as a keynote speaker, workshop facilitator, and panelist at conferences such as NAFSA: Association of International Educators, Community Colleges for International Development (CCID), the National Institute for the Study of Transfer Students (NISTS), Arizona Women in Higher Education (AWHE) and the Phoenix Women's Leadership Association. A global citizen at heart, Annique has lived in four countries and explored 35 more, bringing a wealth of worldly perspectives to her work. Annique holds an Ed.D. in Leadership & Innovation from Arizona State University, and a Master’s degree in International and Intercultural Communication from the University of Denver. Her research involves infusing intercultural competency skills into curriculum via glocalization (bringing together the global and the local) to prepare local and international students for a global workforce. With a career spanning over two decades, Johnson’s extensive experience in international education began in 1999. He has excelled in diverse roles, including study abroad, international student services, and admissions, earning a reputation as a dynamic force in the field. Known for his ability to assess and enhance programs, he collaborates seamlessly with faculty, internal stakeholders, and global partners to drive strategic initiatives. A sought-after speaker and thought leader, Johnson has delivered keynote addresses and participated in panels at premier international forums such as NAFSA, AIEA, AIRC, EAIE, IACAC, and PIE Live. Johnson’s leadership credentials are further underscored by his roles as dean, assistant dean, and director at private, regional, and urban public institutions. His academic journey includes degrees in economics, political science, and public administration, as well as doctoral research in African politics, with fieldwork in Tanzania and Senegal. Currently pursuing an EdD at ASU, he combines academic rigor with global experience, having lived in Kuwait, Burkina Faso, Indonesia, Kenya, Egypt, Ireland, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, and Tanzania and traveled to an impressive 79 countries. Johnson’s career is defined by a passion for global collaboration, an unrelenting commitment to innovation, and a vision to transform the landscape of international education.
