Curriculum Development for a Global Workforce
- Conducted doctoral research and developed unique intercultural intelligence curriculum using the glocalization C2Edges Method developed by Dr. Petit as praxis to enhance pedagogy for successful student learning outcomes to help prepare students for a global workforce. - Led efforts at three institutions to update global perspective requirements as part of general education requirements to incorporate study abroad and service learning into the curriculum. This enabled students to count time spent interning in a refugee agency or studying abroad in to fulfill general education requirements while improving student understanding of global perspectives. RESULT: Students could access new opportunities that increased their satisfaction and persistence.

- Work with institutions of all sizes and levels to successfully read international student and local student names correctly and respectfully.
Internationalization for Business Transformation
- Identified process improvements by combining siloed and stand-alone offices into a comprehensive service unit at a major research institution. Created one-stop center for all international services and functions which increased scope and quality of services to the university without increasing cost. RESULT: The University grew international enrollments by 70% over 4 years.
International Student Recruitment & Retention
- Transformed the recruitment and enrollment for nationally ranked master’s institution boosting international enrollment by 300% over five years. Collaborated with campus units and network of overseas contacts to raise profile of institution and build brand awareness. Streamlined and modernized internal processes to grow admission and retention. RESULT: Generated an additional $20 million for institution.
- Grew the international student population at a large metropolitan community college by 200% to the 4th largest population of international students in the state.
- Developed student retention programming for community colleges, and four-year institutions of all sizes, private, and public.
Staff Training
- Created and implemented staff training and development programs to strengthen effectiveness and leadership skills by providing coaching, professional development opportunities, and devising projects that gave opportunities for hands-on learning. Coached and supported low-performing staff to increase engagement and attendance by creating space for candid discussions and providing support needed to unlock strong results. RESULT: Recipients of this training and development have risen to become directors at a variety of institutions, and low-performing employees were retained and received praise and institutional recognition.
- Petit World Consultants have served in the NAFSA trainer corps and have led hundreds of trainings for advisors and staff on how to protect institutions and maximize opportunities for students on their campuses.
Study Abroad Program Development and Marketing
- Worked with Master's institution to launch six new sites and expand marketing to more than 100 partner 50 Colleges and Universities nationally. Implemented first CRM for Study Abroad, hired first external enrollment counselor to promote programs and created co-branding approach to offer prospective partners broader service options while reducing risk and increasing revenue. RESULT: Grew annual revenues an additional $3 million.
- Oversaw community college study abroad programs ranked among the top 10 in the country for the number of U.S. students sent abroad.
